I am a professionally qualified Chartered Counselling Psychologist working integratively, which means that I use a variety of different approaches and methods to suit each individual person. I view the therapeutic relationship as the primary tool for change, and acknowledge that each client's relationship is unique.
I have a private practice in Streatham Common. I have a BSc in Counselling and Psychology, a Diploma in Psychological Counselling and an MSc in Counselling Psychology from the University of Surrey, Roehampton. I am Chartered by the Health Professions Council and subscribe to their Code of Ethics and Standards.
My research has focussed on the effect of breast cancer on those living with cancer and their families and carers. I have worked with people with cancer both one to one and in groups. I have five years experience of working with patients in a local G.P. practice, and have many years experience of counselling people who misuse substances and alcohol. I have also worked with people with mild to moderate mental health problems in a Community Counselling Service.
I am recognised by many medical insurance companies. Please check with your own provider whether you would be covered because each policy can vary slightly.
